What's new
Every update to FrugalVue, newest first. Households see the same list in the app after an update.
v0.8.0-beta · October 15, 2026
- Receipts from your email. Connect Claude to FrugalVue and to your email, then ask it to file your receipts: it finds e-receipts, matches each to its charge and saves it as a PDF. Help explains how.
- What's new, right here. After an update, FrugalVue shows what changed the first time you open it. The full list is in Help → What's new.
- Payoff planner. In Homes & vehicles, slide an extra monthly payment to see your new payoff date, the months saved and the interest saved. Then save it as your plan.
- Homes, vehicles and loans. Add each home or vehicle with its loan, tie it to the bill that pays it, and see what's still owed on the Overview.
- Every balance in one place. The Overview lists each account's balance, and how fresh it is, right under this month.
- Nicknames for bills. Name a bill, like "Truck policy", so two bills from one payee stay apart. A bill that changes price stays one bill.
- One store, one name. Payee names merges the different ways a bank spells a store, so totals and search show one name.
- Past months keep their categories. Recategorizing "all from this payee" changes this month on. Earlier months stay as they were reported.
- Months stored twice, fixed. If an import listed an account twice, Settings → Advanced → Duplicate transactions finds those months for you to review and merge. New imports skip the copy.
- Help in the menu. Plain answers about categories, bills, nicknames, payee names, balances and loans.
- A slow bank no longer costs a day. The morning sync waits longer and tries again later the same day.

- Connect Claude to your money (preview). In Settings → Connections, connect Claude to your FrugalVue, read-only or read and write, and ask it about your spending, bills and budget.
- Expense reports, start to finish. A report moves from in work to finalized to paid back. Add charges by searching for them.
- Transactions tabs. This week, Uncategorized and AI-suggested, with filters by amount. Categories the AI picked stay marked until someone checks them.
- Yearly subscriptions on one line. Recurring shows annual bills with their yearly price next to the monthly ones.
- Leave something out. Mark money like a house sale or a loan payoff so it stays out of income and spending.
